Establishment, announcement, signature, entry into force and opening can happen on different dates. An event node represents the stage described by its date basis. Precision may be a day, month, year or interval; approximate dates remain approximate. A year-only date does not establish that something happened on January 1.

成立、宣布、签署、生效、开放可能发生在不同日期。事件节点的位置应对应日期依据所说明的阶段。日期可以精确到日、月、年，也可以是范围或约数；只确定年份，不等于事情发生在 1 月 1 日。

Articles list their references, and section references point to the material used for that section. We favor identifiable original documents, papers, reports, books and contemporary reporting. A bibliography is a way to check a claim, not a guarantee that every statement is settled. Material disagreement and uncertainty should remain visible in the text.

Events may be connected through people, places, institutions, actions or shared subject matter. Read the relation description and the articles to understand the connection. Being nearby in time, sharing a word or appearing as related entries does not by itself establish causation, influence or direct historical contact.

Use the correction button beside an article section, Suggest a correction near the revision history, or Add references below the bibliography. Identify the passage, explain the problem and provide material supporting the replacement. Date corrections should specify the event stage and the evidence for the proposed precision.

You can follow submissions in the contribution centre. Submitting a correction does not immediately replace the published article. Content expansions retain public revision records; maintenance corrections and display adjustments do not create a separate revision.

Entries, records and timelines词条、记录与时间线

Entries are shared knowledge maintained through reviewed contributions. Signed-in users can propose supported revisions. Creating an entry or being its main contributor retains attribution, but does not grant exclusive editorial control or a veto over other people's proposals.

Records are managed by their authors and are private by default. Authors may invite readers, authorize collaborators to edit text and dates, or explicitly publish text and dates for public reading. Public links do not expose attachments, reminders or star assignments. A public record remains an authored record, rather than becoming a shared entry.

Timeline curators decide what to include or remove and may set an entry's placement date on that timeline. Placement affects only that timeline's ordering and star position, leaving the original content, historical date, other timelines and content permissions unchanged. A public timeline only displays a record to readers already authorized by its author. Withdrawing publication or access also removes the corresponding timeline view.
